Coolest Boys Wallpaper

I was reading decor8/Holly Becker's post today on PaperBoy Wallpaper out of the UK, and I just want to kiss her for that post! I LOVE LOVE LOVE their shadow puppet wallpaper. I don't even have a little boy, but think it would be so fun and refreshing to have on a wall.

Thanks for the find Holly!

ps - you can currently purchase their wallpapers from Not on the High Street.

Geoff McFetridge

Graphic Designer extraordinare. Artist. Director. And just an all round awesome jack of all trades.

Known for much of his design work with the defunct Grand Royal Magazine , X-Large Clothing, as well as projects with Nike et al, and his beautifully simple title sequences for the Virgin Suicides, Geoff McFetridge has been building his body of work to include wallpaper, through his Pottock Prints imprint, and sometimes very limited edition, hand screened cards.

The wallpaper is more easily available through his own Big Cartel shop, as well as in some stores, but is amazing since it's eco friendly! Hand silk screened in Los Angeles, the wallpaper is printed on recycled paper utilizing waterbased inks, which is nice to see for a change.

So for those of you that love contemporary graphics, or even art, Pottock Prints, might be the way to go, especially with its easy on the wallet pricing.

Inhabit Wall Flats

Looking for an alternative to wallpaper and paint intrigued me, and is something I have wanted to post on for awhile. Inhabit's Wall Flats are just some of the options out there.
Made from bamboo pulp, these eco friendly Wall Flats are essentially tiles that can be left as is or primed and painted, and can be applied permanently (via tile adhesive or contact cement) or semi permanently (carpet tape), but of course, it's always recommended to do test first!

I really like these tiles as they add a sculptural element to walls. Available in packs of 10 and starting at $86/pack, they aren't necessarily the cheapest wall decor option, but can work great just add life to one wall.

Vintage Wallpapers

It has been awhile since I last looked at vintage wallpapers and patterns, so in my search I came across Vintage Wallpapers out of Belgium. Specializing in wallpapers from the 1950's through 1980's, they have a vast collection that spans all types of design. From juvenile to pattern, they have something for almost anybody's tastes. There's a collection of vintage fabrics and vinyl coverings as well.

One of the great features the site has is nifty magnification tool that helps you look in greater detail at the images - just in case you were wondering if that wallpaper was really made of linen.

For those loving earthy tones or graphic patterns, their collection is bound to inspire.
Some of these patterns could easily be at home on a notebook cover, or as the lining of an envelope. I wish there were letterpress patterns like these!

But can you stick it on the wall?

I was checking out Wolfie and the Sneak's current listings on their etsy shop and discovered this print of theirs. It's printed on unpasted wallpaper, but is a nice size and color. As a recurring pattern, it might make a nice wallpaper print on a wall - especially if it contrasted with some walls painted in a nice complimentary color. Hmmmmm......
